Inspiration Comes In Many Ways

The Sun God at Dawn, Rising from a Lotus Blossom - in the upcoming XXIII Volume of L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future by Andrea Kail was inspired as follows:

"The story came about because of an article I read in the New York Times back in 2005 about a group of artists and scientists who used CT scans of King Tut's mummy to reconstruct the face of the young king. The resulting pictures were so extraordinarily lifelike and soulful that I knew I had to write about him. From that seed of an idea grew my story about a future where clones of historical figures are used as museum guides and cultural representatives and what would happen to a recreated King Tut growing up in that world." -- Andrea Kail
